wrestling, so it was harder to get him to the floor. I got him in a right hand punch, then I could put
him down. I went to the side mount and punched him in the face. From the mount position I tried to
finish him by arm lock but he escaped. Finally I moved for a triangle and submitted him."

"One of the most important fights in my career, because he is the strongest guy I’ve ever met.
I showed the people that the martial arts technique could win over strength. I fought with heart and had determination. I knew I’d win.
I had hard times in the fight. He was escaping. He had an eye cut and they stopped the fight just when I was in the same position that I finished him (6 minutes in the first round). He rested for 2 minutes. I think I could have finished the fight at that time.
I don´t avoid the possibility of a rematch, but if it doesn’t happen, he will take this defeat to his funeral."

So, in the second round I changed my strategy and began to fight standing, thinking I would bring him back to the ground afterwards. We didn´t go down because when he tried to kick me, I held his leg and punched him on the face."
